Delivered and assembled this afternoon. I'm really pleased with the end result.
It's made from 14 old teak stair treads removed from a shop. Decades worth of dents from stiletto heels had to be planed and sanded away to create a smooth finish.
I haven't spent all 2020 building wardrobes and understair cupboards. I've also made lots of smaller, free standing furniture. These include an oak bench seat, a cupboard for a TV with motorised lift mechanism, items made from reclaimed scaffold boards and garden seats. Always nice to have a bit of variety.
A quick look back at some of the more interesting jobs I've done this year. This was the most unusual shaped wardrobe I've had to design and build. It's in a loft conversation, above the new stairs. Managed to maximise the storage space and incorporate a small walk-in area.
Just finished these in time for Christmas. Matching cupboards and floating shelves either side of a fire place. The cupboards each include a drawer specially to store wrapping paper. First time I've had to work behind a Christmas tree.
